TelTron was founded in 1997 by Randy Younger and Ken Blankshain with a mission to supply world class telemetry systems to the missile defense and satellite communities. Within a very short time TelTron became the primary supplier of telemetry ground stations to the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) and Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) programs. Now in business for over 20 years, we are pleased to continue to innovate new and robust products for the telemetry community.
Prior to forming TelTron, co-founder and CEO Randy Younger was with Rockwell International (eventually bought by Boeing) for 13 years as a Member of the Technical Staff (MTS) at the Electro-Optical Center , team leader for telemetry for the Exoatmoshperic Kill Vehicle Program (EKV), and associate test director for the Boeing (EKV) flight test team. He holds multiple patents in materials science related to infrared photovoltaic semiconductors, and patents pending in indoor navigational technology.
Co-founder and Vice President Ken Blankshain was with Intersate Electronics also for 13 years prior to forming TelTron. Ken was a significant contributor in the area of GPS technology in its early years, and designed the fast acquisition algorithm for GPS widely used to this day. Ken is the chief architect of TelTron's newest hardware platforms.
Originally formed to provide commercially available digital telemetry systems to the missile programs to replace antiquated tape based systems, TelTron rapidly became the major supplier to the defense contractors in the ICBM interceptor community. Cited multiple times over the years by the US Army for contributions to the program, TelTron remains dedicated to providing systems that minimize the time required to collect and analyze mission telemetry data.
